Yeah, so I don't feel like myself anymore. I mean, there are days where I feel fine, generally, but not the exciting, interesting, attractive person I once was. This semester has been a great upgrade of all the emotion (and/or read as "drama") from sophomore year, but I wish there were more improvement.
I wish there were new, closer friendships.
I wish I could gain weight, heh.
I wish the one I wanted to begin something new with didn't retract her hand.
I wish I didn't miss her like I do.
I've decided to restructure my life in various, sometimes subtle ways. Will anyone notice? Hopefully.
I am preparing myself for my run for the State House in the fall of 2010 by studying the South Carolina Constitution and writing out a tentative South Carolina Energy Act, as well as my stances on other social areas:
-elimination of school vouchers
-gender balance in the House (and Senate)
-temporary dollar tax-increase on tobacco products, then down to seventy cents
-random teachers, every three months, mandatory drug testing
-charge for picking up trash, but recycling for free and provided everywhere
-decrease of religious ads on billboards
-restructuring of sexual education program
-graduation/GED requirement for all inhabitants by 20 years-old in SC, fines for parents if violated
If I don't win, I think I'll join the Peace Corps, and, hopefully, have a friend with me. I even would love to pursue music as a career if my political goals fall short. I truly think I could touch various persons with what I do.

Yes, I wish you were here..."

"-random teachers, every three months, mandatory drug testing"
I think teachers should be able to do drugs - their lives suck.
"-decrease of religious ads on billboards"
To do this you have to do away with the free market. Our economic system basically boils down to anyone can by anything if they have enough money. If you restrict religious organizations from purchasing such advertisement they'll call foul play and rightfully so. A better idea would be to encourage secular groups to increase their ad space.

Has this happened in any state ever? If it has I don't see how because similar to it being every person's right to get an education it is also every person's right to waste that opportunity. There are very few things the government forces people to do which makes sense entirely, push people too hard and they push back.
Well, looking at the "pushing people too hard" thing, I don't think having persons attend school to manage at least a diploma or GPA is pushing anyone too hard. One of the biggest ways SC will get out of its rut is to push for better educational standards. Now, it's not only the school districts' and the government's job to do that, it is the parents as well. But wouldn't you agree that someone's mom who already has enough bills and fines to pay would encourage their child to stay in school longer, even if it is being a little selfish in one aspect?
I do agree their should be encouragement of more advertisement from the secular groups...That could wage a money war that could be good for SC...
