You know, I speak to many persons everyday...most days, I guess. And often, we talk about the future and what we want to do. I think many are taken aback by my goals of great change...more localized and far more extensive (distance and otherwise) than Barack Obama's.
As mentioned in a couple of other blogs, I want to turn South Carolina upside down. I want to be the first governor of African descent. I want to move our education system far away from the laughing stock that it is. (A graduation rate of 46%? Fuck that bullshit.) I want our state's beauty to remain and the parts lost be restored, finding ways to get rid of the ever-growing landfills and the closure of coal and, eventually, nuclear plants. I want South Carolinians to have a better standard of living and more pride in their home.
On the more extensive note, I want to be the president of the Central African Republic. Fortunately, you don't have to be a natural citizen to be the nation's leader, and a minimum age of 30. I think that the only way Africa will become a more peaceful place is if more persons join the fight to accomplish that. I may get shot, I may get killed, but I think that once I'm done with what I want to do in South Carolina in twenty years, I will move on to Bangui.
I want to eliminate - or come damn close - the current ideas of race. IT DOESN'T EXIST! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!!!!//// It's the most ridiculous social construct out there and I'm sick of it! Your skin tone isn't even one percent of your genetic makeup! Ugh, so irritating. I haven't developed my plan on how to do it, but I'm getting there.
Many don't think I could accomplish any of this, or any parts of it. I wish to and shall prove them incorrect. Gandhi said "be the change you want to see," and I'm not going to sit on my ass and be pessimistic about anything I want to do, or let anyone put me down.
